To understand the science of the Raw Food Reboot, we must first explore the works of Dr. Edmond Bordeaux Szekely. Dr. Szekely created a simple system with four food categories: BIOGENIC, BIOACTIVE, BIOSTATIC and BIOCIDIC. These four categories lend to changing the focus from measuring calories to the overall effect certain foods have on long-term health (Credit: International Biogenic Society).
BIOGENIC foods have the highest life force rating. These foods are life renewing, alkaline-producing, energy-charged, high in enzymes, predigested complete proteins, chelated minerals, nucleic acids, vitamins, RNA, DNA and B12. They include germinated seeds, nuts, and sprouted greens, grains, legumes, wheat grass.
BIOACTIVE foods are life sustaining and are capable of slightly enhancing an already healthy life force - they include fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. These foods contribute to the life force but not as powerfully as biogenic.
BIOSTATIC foods are life slowing; neither life-sustaining nor life-generating. These are foods that slowly increase the aging process. They include lightly processed foods and raw foods which are no longer fresh. These foods require the system to give away energy from its SOEF (self-organizing energy field) in order to give energy and reactivate the SOEF’s of these foods so they can be properly assimilated. The result of this process is a slow diminution of the total SOEF of the system.
BIOCIDIC foods undoubtedly subtract from the life force. These include all highly processed and cooked foods and all kinds of flesh foods, unless the flesh foods are freshly killed.
The objective of following The Reboot is to clean out all the build-up in the microvilli of your small intestine in order to gain the full health benefits. Absorption is the key to getting nutrients in your system and if your system is blocked-up and clogged, especially in the microvilli, chances are you will not be absorbing the nutrients in your system.
The first week of eating raw foods acts like a 'Brillo Pad', scrubbing off the top layer of build-up.
The second week of raw smoothies penetrates even further in between the microvilli and floods them with loads of nutrients. This is the week you should start to notice a lot more energy through-out your day.
The third week of raw juices penetrates the microvilli even further, removing plaques and any additional built-up food matter while saturating the system with powerful anti-oxidants for immediate absorption. This is the week that will start blowing your mind! Not only will you be less hungry (consuming at least five large glasses of raw, organic vegetable and fruit juices a day), your mental clarity, focus and concentration will be astounding!
